Do you have a passion that is far more than anything else in your life; if so then why not design the perfect area for this passion by creating the perfect man cave. It seems the man cave boom has certainly taken off in America and they have created some impressive shrines within their man cave designs. Whether they are supporters of specific football teams or car racing each has an individual and unique appeal. A man cave can be designed from anything and the most recent British example has to be the shrine to Dad’s Army set up by 19 year old Darren Strides.

It seems that the man cave boom has also reached Scotland as one resident has created a man cave castle that allows him to obtain five minutes peace and quiet and meditate to cope with the every day stresses of life. This can be seen in the video at the bottom of the page. Not all man caves have to be shrines, as the video below shows an example of a Scottish resident designing a castle man cave an using it as an area to meditate rather than a shrine to a team or club. Another popular man cave option is a bar or pub with a large TV and games consoles.

Log cabins are the ideal building to use to transform or create your perfect man cave as they offer plenty of room and are a warmer environment than a shed or summer house as the cladding used to build the log cabins is substantially thicker. The structure of a log cabin is also more robust and stronger and has enhanced security options in comparison to a shed or summer house so your shrine of items or large TV’s and computer consoles will be safe and sound within the log cabins.

Many people still question man caves but it is the perfect area for you to have everything you want in one place without having to be moaned at by your other half. And ignore the name it is not just for men but women as well. For example it is common knowledge that men are not a fan of ponies, horses and make up so why not create your own boutique and beauty area.

If I had the money I would create a sauna room with a bench and a large TV but that is just me, I am an avid match day programme collector as well so could certainly create a shrine to the sporting events I have been to in my life.
